Mobile Device Support Policy

Android OS: Naropa University IT will provide limited support for personal Android OS phones and tablets that are currently receiving updates from Google or their respective mobile service carrier. We support devices that are running the any of the three most recent name Android OS releases. For example, if Android 6.1 (Marshmallow)  is the most recent Android version, Naropa University will make a best-effort to support all Marshmallow (6.X), Lollipop (5.X), and Kitkat (4.4) versions of Android. To see what the three most recent versions of Android OS are click here and to check what build of Android OS your device is running follow the instructions provided here. For the security of Naropa's network, we cannot support devices that are no longer receiving updates, including important security patches, from Google. ​


Apple iOS:  Naropa University IT will provide limited support for personal Apple iOS devices including iPad and iPhone that are currently supported by Apple and are receiving the latest iOS updates. To check if your Apple iOS device is currently supported, check here and scroll to the bottom of the page where the supported devices are listed. For the security of Naropa's network, we cannot support devices that no longer receive updates, including important security patches, from Apple.
